As Black women in the resiliency industry, we navigate unique challenges, often carrying the weight of both racial and gender biases. One of the most insidious obstacles we face is imposter syndrome—a persistent feeling of self-doubt and inadequacy despite evident success and accomplishments. This blog aims to shed light on overcoming imposter syndrome and building the confidence and self-worth we need to thrive.
Understanding Imposter Syndrome
Imposter syndrome is characterized by the belief that our achievements are not earned and that we are frauds waiting to be exposed. This feeling can be amplified for Black women in the resiliency industry due to systemic barriers and a lack of representation. Recognizing imposter syndrome is the first step toward overcoming it.
Strategies to Overcome Imposter Syndrome
1. Acknowledge Your Accomplishments
